balance
The surrealist short film Balance, released in 1989 by the brothers Wolfgang and Christoph Lauenstein, tells the story of five self-centered characters on a platform with stop-motion technique.
I tried to explain the selfishness they showed when trying to get the locked box they found and make it the center of their lives, each character by placing it in different gravitational fields, although they are on the same world.I intended to strengthen the effect by limiting the usage of color.

zadig
In this project, it was asked to choose three stories from Volteire's Zadig and design a poster for these stories. Instead of telling stories by doing illustrations of specific scenes, I aimed to focus on the overall story and develop this ability by symbolizing characters and events.

Envious
On an evening when he met his friends, Zadig said, "Whoever wrote these strings will be meaningful only when they are read by that person." He tears the paper and throws it into a bush of roses. Arimaze, known as the Hasut of Babylon, takes a piece of paper and takes it to the king. The paper is so torn that the lines that praise the King have lost their meanings and turned into blasphemous words. While Zadig is on death row and preparing for his death, the King's parrot is put in the rose bush in Zadig's garden. The bird lifts the Peach, which clings to the other half of the paper as it falls from the tree, takes it away and lays it on the King's knees. The king becomes aware of the situation at the end of the story and frees Zadig.
Jealousy
When the queen constantly talks about Zadig and gets excited with him, it starts to sink in the eyes of the jealous king. The king, who makes great sense even from things such as Zadig's bonnet being yellow when his wife's ribbon is yellow, makes its decision. It’s ordered to Queen's poisoning, Zadig’s strangled. The king's assistant, who hears the ears but is dumb, tells what he heard to the queen. Queen and Zadig make a plan and escape and save their lives.
Burning in Fire
Setoc, a merchant who worships stars because they are bright and far away, begins to worship his original creator thanks to a wise example given by Zadig, and is fascinated by Zadig's wisdom. On the other hand, there is a tradition that pervades Zadig's mind and threatens to spread to Arabia. When a married man dies, his most beloved wife burns herself over her husband's body in a square if she wants to be elevated to the rank of a saint. By talking to a woman who is about to burn herself, Zadig convinces her, saves her life and finds a way to end this tradition. He has freed his master and the women of Arabia from their chains.
